Biography
I am Emad Rojhani, a structural geologist and tectonics specialist with a PhD from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (Iran). My work explores how mountain belts, sutures and crustal blocks evolve — particularly in the eastern Iranian region — and how those deep earth systems interface with applied sectors such as mineral exploration and resource governance.
Beyond field studies, I combine paleomagnetism, geochronology and plate-reconstruction tools to trace the long-term deformation that shapes continental architecture. I also engage industry stakeholders — drawing on my role in the mining & minerals commission of the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce — to bridge academic insight with real-world outcomes. That industry-facing work extends into international market analysis and strategic consulting, and into teaching both geology and markets to students and professionals.
I feel privileged to work in what I believe is the most exciting era for Earth-scientists: a time when we can link deep-time processes and Earth-mechanisms and see how the planet's systems integrate — and I am eager to contribute to that exploration, both in the field and in the classroom.
